Iconic producer of the Northern Rhône, Georges Vernay is famous for having 'saved' the Condrieu appellation by keeping a few hectares of Viognier in the region after WW2. Christine Vernay, 3rd generation, took over the estate in 1996 using organic farming methods. This cuvée, produced from mature Syrah vines offers a taste very similar to that of a Côte-Rôtie! It has intense aromas of green pepper, black cherries, game and spices that wrap around a smooth, balanced, mature, lasting and fresh texture. It is produced in limited quantities.
