Apart from the estate vineyards from the south to the north of McLaren Vale, Coriole also has a number of different species of fig trees that are carefully tended, the figs sold. The autosuggestion is too strong to ignore, and the bouquet of this mourvedre/grenache/shiraz blend has a ripe fig overtone. The palate keeps its focus where it should, with a suite of sultry earthy notes ex the mourvedre, lightened and brightened by the other varieties. Drink by: 2030. Special Value. Score - 94.
