The 2017 Ferrière is a decidedly powerful wine. Succulent black cherry, plum, new leather, menthol, gravel and smoke flesh out in this dense, pliant Margaux. Even with all of its forward fruit, the 2017 possesses terrific supporting structure and tannic backbone. There is a good bit of depth and intensity to back things up. The 2017 is beautifully done. Frost damage was minimal at just a few percent. Score - 90-93. (Antonio Galloni, vinous.com)
