Northern Peach Punch
Autumn 2013
½ cup Cognac
3 cups Flat Rock Cellars Twisted White
½ cup Cinnamon Simple Syrup (recipe follows)
1 cup peach juice
1 cup cranberry juice
1 oz lemon juice
3 tsp Fee Brothers peach bitters
1 pitted and chopped peach
2 nectarines
2 plums
To a punch bowl or pitcher, add ½ cup Cognac, 3 cups Flat Rock Cellars Twisted White (LCBO 1578), ½ cup Cinnamon Simple Syrup (recipe follows), 1 cup peach juice, 1 cup cranberry juice, 1 oz lemon juice and 3 tsp Fee Brothers peach bitters. Add 1 pitted and chopped peach, 2 nectarines, 2 plums, (or any similar combination of stone fruits). Pour or ladle into cups with ice, distributing fruit.
CINNAMON SIMPLE SYRUP: Combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup boiling water and 3 cinnamon sticks. Stir to dissolve sugar. Allow to cool. Remove cinnamon sticks when desired flavour is reached. Cover and store, chilled, for up to 2 weeks.
