Long Way Home

The Home James is a Martini-style cocktail using gin, dry vermouth and freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. The Long Way Home turns it into a refreshing long drink by using sweet vermouth instead of dry and adding soda.
Makes 1 drink
1½ oz gin
½ oz sweet white vermouth
3 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
Soda water
1 In a tall glass, half-filled with ice, combine gin, vermouth and juice. Stir and top up with soda. Garnish with a twist of orange or grapefruit zest.
