Classic Stinger

Made famous at the speakeasies of the 1920s and 30s, the Stinger became the cocktail of choice for celebrities in the literary set, from Somerset Maugham to Evelyn Waugh.
1 oz brandy or Cognac
1/2 oz white crème de menthe
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add brandy or Cognac and crème de menthe.
- Shake sharply and strain into a small Martini glass.
