Appleton Sour
Summer 2002
Rum has come a long way since the 17th century, when its nickname was kill-devil. Today this mellow spirit has morphed into an amazing range of colours and styles.
1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1 oz Appleton Estate Rum, 1/2 oz triple sec, the juice of 1/2 fresh lime and 1 tsp superfine sugar.
2. Shake thoroughly until sugar is dissolved and strain into a Martini glass.
3. Garnish with a slice of lime.
