Nivarius is Rioja's white wine specialist. The name is derived from the Spanish for snow (nieve), which is a regular occurrence in winter, given that the vineyards are at 800m above sea level. This is a blend of 80-year old Viura with Maturana Blanca (30%), which has been fermented and aged for nine months in French oak.
