Joel Gott Washington 2018 is a dry, full-bodied and concentrated red wine blend of 53% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Syrah, 2% Malbec and 1% Zinfandel sourced from three different appellations in Columbia Valley: the Wahluke Slope, Yakima Valley and Red Mountain, the smallest AVA in the Washington state. The wine was aged in American oak barrels (75% new). Fragrant with blackberry, spiced plum and licorice aromas, on the palate the wine is concentrated with cassis, tart cherry, anise, nutmeg and toasty oak spice with balanced acidity.
