Gamy notes mingle with aromas of barnyard, piquant spice and savoury herbs on the interesting nose. A stream of red cherry and black currant flavours envelop the palate adorned with plenty of tang-infused passionfruit and hints of soft, ripe manageable tannin. It's medium bodied with pleasant mouthfeel, good balance and plenty to like. Give this a try with smoked duck breasts or roast turkey. It's good value and very enjoyable drinking now; and it will continue to improve over the next three or four years. Drink or cellar. Score - 92. (Vic Harradine, winecurrent.com, Feb. 14, 2021)
