When it comes to Cabernet Sauvignon, Echeverría moves on two fronts - Molina, in the Curicó Valley, and Maipo Alto, 200 kilometers to the north of the winery. This Cabernet Sauvignon (85% of the blend) also has 5% petit verdot, 5% petit sirah, and 5% carménère, all aged in new oak for 16 months before being bottled. The wine has the signature of the new Echeverría red wines. Far from the over-ripeness of the past, here the freshness of the fruit is privileged, nuanced with hints of herb and spice in a wine with firm, vertical tannins. Score - 93. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2019)
