Foreign Affair is known as an appassimento winery, making wines from dried grapes to boost body. At 11.5% alcohol this is not in that camp. It is a pale, fruity blend of gamay and pinot noir, with the former seeming to hold sway given the floral almost lavender nose of strawberry jam and a hint of pepper. It is nicely fresh, a touch sweet but it finishes dry. Quite pleasant and flavourful. The length is good to very good. Score - 88. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Jan. 9, 2019)
