Inniskillin Montague Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

750 mL bottle  |   VINTAGES#:  997353

Montague is always singular, set apart, dishing pinot noir of its own accord. Here rustic but ripe, lush and fully warmed by vintage. Chewy and strangely akin to 2017 Tuscan sangiovese. Tang is the operative, humid and grippy the words. Acids are really sharp and the age of this vineyard (planted by Karl Kaiser in the 1980s) is something to behold. Singularity and diversity in one glass of pinot noir. Surely needed some time to come, get and pull together. Drink 2019-2023. Score - 90. (Michael Godel,, March 23, 2019)
