A 180th Briottet Anniversary product made with a mix of two indispensable products of Dijon: Crème de Cassis de Dijon; the Noir de Bourgogne variety harvested in Côte d'Or and Marc de Bourgogne. Briottet's Très Vieux Marc de Bourgogne AOC is the result of distillation of brandies made from grape marc from the prestigious Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune wine-growing areas. In order to produce a very special Burgundian Marc Brandy, Briottet cellar ages it for more than 10 years in oak barrels (Burgundy barrels). It's a real Burgundian after-dinner drink. 1870's Mêlé Cassis appeared and was popular in the 19th century but disappeared on Burgundian tables. Briottets 4th generation wanted to honour their great grand-parents who enjoyed this 'digestif' at the end of a meal and to allow people to rediscover this typical Burgundian product.
