This year, I preferred the Champelrose (which sees less new oak) to the les Eygats. The 2017 Cornas Champelrose is herbal and complex, with suggestions of orange zest and licorice accenting plummy fruit. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's supple, dense and powerful, with a long finish. Drink date: 2020-2030. Score - 93-95. (Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, Dec. 28, 2018)
