Quails' Gate Stewart Family Reserve Chardonnay 2017
This pours deep, viscous yellow. The nose is very rich and complex with nutty pistachio, cedar, vanillin, subtle smoke, yellow apple and lemon custard aromas. It is full bodied, quite dense yet silky across the mid-palate, with firm acidity and minerality providing excellent relief. It is fairly nutty, lemony and spicy on the finish, with good drying affect. The length and focus are excellent. I would actually age this a year or two. Score - 93.
