Watermelon Squeeze
Summer 2011
Rose petals used in the making of Hendrick’s Gin lend this lemonade a lovely floral note that pairs beautifully with watermelon. If Meyer lemons are available to you, use their juice here instead of ordinary lemon juice.
Serves 1
To a cocktail shaker, add the juice of ½ lemon, ½ oz simple syrup, 1 cup roughly chopped seedless watermelon flesh and 1½ oz Hendrick’s Gin. Add as much ice as will fit, shake sharply and strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Garnish with a wedge of watermelon.
