Spicy P Cola

Our nod to the league’s most-improved player is a game-day cocktail mixed with hot jalapeño peppers. Using Canadian whisky is a shout out to the world’s greatest country. Just before tip-off time, whip up a pitcher for your home team. #WeTheNorth
Makes 6 cocktails
1 large or 2 small jalapeño peppers, thinly sliced with seeds removed
9 oz Canadian whisky or rum
4 cups (1 L) cola
3 limes
6 small jalapeño peppers, for garnish
1. Thinly slice jalapeño into rounds, removing seeds. Taste pepper; if not very spicy, use more. Place prepared jalapeño in the base of a wide-mouthed 6 cup (1.5 L) pitcher. Pour in whisky. Muddle or lightly mash with end of a wooden spoon. Let stand for 1 hour.
2. Just before the game begins, top with cola. Squeeze in juice from 1 lime. Stir. Cut remaining limes into wedges or wheels. Add handful of ice. Float half of lime wedges in pitcher. Thread lime wedges and small jalapeno peppers on reusable skewers. Pour cocktail into ice-filled rocks glasses. Garnish each with a skewer.
