Red Wine Sangria
Early Summer 2006
Travelling through Spain a few years ago, I discovered how refreshing Sangria can be. Delicious on its own and ideal for lunch outdoors.
1 bottle Shiraz
2 oz Triple Sec
1/2 orange
1/2 lemon
½ (125 mL) cup sugar
1 can of soda water (optional)
1. To make a red wine Sangria use a large pitcher and mix a bottle of Little Penguin Shiraz, 2 oz McGuiness Triple Sec, half an orange, sliced, half a lemon, sliced, stir in ½ cup of sugar until dissolved, and chill.
2. Just before serving, add some sparkle by adding 1 can of soda water (optional).
