In North America, the popularity of gin reached its pinnacle during Prohibition, when the gin Martini became de rigueur amongst the wealthy and the famous. This classic cocktail lends an air of sophistication, ideal for a stylish holiday soirée.
1 oz gin
½ oz apricot brandy
Juice ½ lemon, fresh
1 tsp grenadine
Garnish
Lemon twist
1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1 oz gin, ½ oz apricot brandy, the juice of ½ fresh lemon and 1 tsp grenadine. Shake sharply and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
