How I Got to Minden

1½ oz Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
2 small crabapples
½ oz lemon juice
½ oz Black Tea Syrup (see recipe below)
Crabapple slice, for garnish

 

Slice crabapples and add to a cocktail shaker. Using a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon, muddle. Add whiskey, lemon juice and syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake to chill. Strain into a coupe or cocktail glass. Garnish with crabapple slice.

 

Makes 1 cocktail


Black Tea Syrup
1 cup (250 mL) granulated sugar
Pinch salt
2 tea bags
1 cup (250 mL) boiling water
