Absolut® Mulled Mule

Makes 1 cocktail
1½ oz Absolut vodka
1 oz Mulled Wine (see recipe below)
5 to 6 oz ginger beer
Lime wedge, for garnish
Pour Absolut vodka, mulled wine and ginger beer into an ice-filled highball glass. Stir to mix. Squeeze lime wedge over the drink and drop in.

Mulled Wine
Add 8 oz (1 cup) leftover red wine, 1 cracked green cardamom pod, 1 broken piece of star anise, 1 clove, 1 allspice berry, 1 small piece cinnamon stick and 1 strip of orange peel, with any white pith removed to a small saucepan. Heat over medium just until steaming. Remove from heat and let cool. When mixture is cool enough to handle, strain.
Yields 8 oz (1 cup) for 8 cocktails
