It is sweetly fragrant on the nose showing dark cherry, spiced plum, mushroom and thyme characters with nuances of smoked game and floral. The palate is wonderfully fruited and rounded, displaying excellent fruit purity together with seductive spicy/savoury undertones, brilliantly complemented by velvety mouthfeel and silky tannins. At its best: now to 2020. Score - 94. (Sam Kim, wineorbit.co.nz, April 2020)
