    In the internal Vinyes d'Olivardots coding system, '1' means Cariñena on slate soils, and I retasted the one from the 2013 vintage. The 2013 Vd'O 1.13 is truly phenomenal, showing perfume and elegance, fine tannins and very clean, focused flavors. It has great balance as well as the freshness and Mediterranean character that are so difficult to find together. I'd love to have this in a blind tasting of top Priorats! It has power and elegance.
