Newly picked blackcurrants, bay leaf, wet earth, pine cones and oyster shell, make for a very reserved nose. Finely grained but very structured on the palate, with tannins that both pucker and caress the mouth. There's good concentration to the center palate and it's nicely layered. 44 per cent cabernet sauvignon, 38 per cent malbec, 12 per cent petit verdot and six per cent cabernet franc. Drink in 2025. Score - 94. (jamessuckling.com, Dec. 5, 2019)
