According to Pierre Rovani, the 2011 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from one of Remoissenet's own holdings that were originally planted with 'Pinot Fin' clones by no less than Pierre Dugat. This is a blissful Charmes-Chambertin that ranks alongside the 2012 and might even surpass it. The nose is utterly seductive and extremely pure with lavish red berry fruit and subtle notes of dried flowers. The palate is blessed with a velvety-smooth texture counterbalanced by a fine line of acidity from start to finish. There is a bit of swagger about this Charmes Chambertin - just a beautiful wine that comes highly recommended. Drink 2015-2025+. Score - 95. (Neal Martin, robertparker.com, April 29, 2014)
