Pale, highly fragrant and perfumed, stretched across the slightest of frames with under 10% alcohol, Henry of Pelham has moved to a fresher, lighter, earlier-harvested riesling with the 2019 vintage. It cuts a decidedly Germanic line in the best sense, with crackling green apple acids perfectly balanced by a pinch of residual sugar, such that the finish comes across as dry and acidulated, like a squeeze of lime. I love the transparency and purity, the lacy delicacy. Length is impressive, too. Classic stuff, drinking beautifully now. Score - 90. (John Szabo, MS, winealign.com, Sept. 5, 2020)
