Siegerrebe, whose name means 'champion vine,' is a pink-skinned white-wine grape created in Rheinhessen in 1929 from a crossing of Gewürztraminer and Madeleine Angevine. The variety is best known for sweet wines that feature notions of tropical fruit, roses and honey.
