This white wine from Quinta Do Cardo is made with indigenous grape variety siria, also known as roupeiro in Alentejo. It is distinctly salty and delicately fleshy, with refreshing acids. There is a simple, unaffected charm, purity, and directness here that I enjoy. Assorted citrus fruit and tart orchard fruit notes linger on the finish. I would enjoy this wine in its youth.
