The 2009 Barolo Bussia from Pianpolvere Soprano is fabulous. Expansive, deep-pitched aromatics are attention-grabbing. Silky and pliant on the palate, the 2009 is exceptionally polished and striking in its beauty. Like all of the Barolos made here by Rodolfo Migliorini, the Bussia is deep, unctuous and framed by a good dose of French oak. The 2009 also gives the impression it will mature within a relatively compact period of years, but it will offer superb drinking in the meantime.
