The 2021 Partida Pedrer Negre was produced with 100% full clusters and fermented with dry carbonic maceration; they extract the juice every day, and then it was pressed after 10 to 12 days and then fermented in the tank and then matured in amphorae of very thick material (gres) for 16 months. It has a bright ruby color a nose of herbs, wild berries, plants and flowers, like a field in spring. It's a little reductive - the process and also the character of the year - with an ethereal structure, direct, straight and fresh, with a faint earthy character. It has 14% alcohol, pure Garnacha from the grapes with less ripeness from the vineyard (and even so, it's 1% higher in alcohol than the rosé that is the blend of grapes where the Monastrell lowers the alcohol). It's fine-boned and very different from the rest of the reds from Priorat. Drink date: 2024-2032. (Luis Gutiérrez,robertparker.com,May 16, 2024)
