This has vinous damson aromatics, with bay and juniper. It's very smooth in body, rounded, not overly full - only medium-bodied for a Gigondas. The oak works well, combing out some of the more fibrous tannins. Very well balanced and harmonious, long and satisfying. The oak is very well integrated and supports the wine well. Good value. Plot selection of vines on terraces in the Dentelles de Montmirail at an altitude of nearly 500m. Very small yield of around 19 hl/ha. A more oak-influenced cuvee compared to their Tradition, this spends 12 months in 2 to 5-year-old barrels before release. Drinking window: 2022-2032. Score - 94. (Matt Walls, decanter.com, Sept. 30, 2019)
