From a tiny, 0.3 hectare parcel planted in 1927, this nearly century-old Vosne vineyard has yielded here in 2020 a wine of very sweet, ripe and concentrated perfume. I love the silky, refined texture, so typical of wines from this village, yet also the underlying structure and depth - while seemingly lithe and light on entry, the flavours persist admirably, stretching into minutes. It's clearly very ripe and powerful overall, with 14% alcohol declared, and will need another 3-5 years minimum in bottle to enter its groove. Very fine wine. Tasted May 2022. Score - 96.
