½ fresh sweet orange, chopped
½ oz vanilla syrup (see recipe below)
1½ oz Johnnie Walker Black Whisky
Orange twist for garnish
- To a cocktail shaker, add orange and syrup. Muddle. Fill the shaker with ice and add whisky. Shake vigorously then strain into a coupette glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- Bring water to a boil. Add sugar and vanilla in, stirring constantly. When sugar has dissolved completely, cool syrup. Store in an airtight jar for up to 1 week.
