Mint Julep


1 tsp icing sugar (or superfine sugar)
1 tbsp chilled water
2 oz bourbon
3 to 4 sprigs fresh mint


  1. In a large glass, stir sugar into water until dissolved. Add bourbon and about 12 mint leaves and muddle to release the flavour of the mint. Fill glass with crushed ice. Garnish with 2 bushy sprigs of fresh mint.
