Aperol Grapefruit Tequila Fizz

If you aren’t familiar with Aperol, it’s like the little sister of Campari. Less bitter, and lower in alcohol, it blends beautifully with grapefruit juice, tequila and lemon in this pretty, pink-hued cocktail.


¾ cup (175 mL) reposado tequila
¾ cup (175 mL) Aperol
1½ cups (375 mL) strained fresh pink grapefruit juice
1 lemon, cut into wedges (or more to taste)
¾ cup (175 mL) club soda, divided
Lemon slices, to garnish


  1. Combine tequila, Aperol and grapefruit juice in a pitcher. For each drink, measure out ½ cup (125 mL) of tequila mixture, squeeze in lemon wedge (you may need more or less lemon depending on the acidity of the grapefruit juice) and shake over ice. Strain into a glass, and top with 2 tbsp (30 mL) of club soda. Garnish with fresh lemon slice.
