Cinnamon Quill


1 cinnamon sticks
1½ oz Canadian whisky
2 oz fresh apple juice
½ oz honey syrup*


  1. Break 1 cinnamon stick in a small bowl and cover with boiling water. Let sit for 20–30 seconds to soften, then remove. Discard water. To a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add soaked cinnamon stick, whisky, apple juice and honey syrup. Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with another cinnamon stick.
Makes 1 cocktail
*To make honey syrup, simply add equal parts hot water and honey to a cup and stir until honey is dissolved. This will keep the honey from clumping.
