Sipping Rums

Rum pioneer Bacardí is at the forefront of a spirited new trend: luxury aged blends that take sipping to new heights.

The Caribbean has a rich heritage of rum-making. But one name has always reigned supreme: Bacardí. It all started in 1862, when founder Don Facundo Bacardí Massó, bought a small distillery in Santiago de Cuba. He recognized an untapped market for better quality rum and pioneered a new way of making the spirit using high quality ingredients.

Facundo and his partner developed charcoal-mellowing, blending and aging techniques to produce the first clear, ‘white’ rum in the world, setting a new standard for rum production. Over time, the name Bacardí became synonymous with the spirit itself. And the signature rum became the star ingredient in a slew of popular cocktails, from the mojito to the legendary Cuba Libre.

In tribute to the founder and his tremendous influence on spirits, the family-owned Bacardí brand created its first-ever collection of luxury sipping rums: The Facundo Collection. It’s released once a year in limited quantities, and features four exquisite, hand-blended rums. They’re sourced from the Bacardí family’s private reserves, crafted by master blenders in Puerto Rico and aged in charred oak barrels in the Bahamas. The result is a captivating line-up of blended expressions with four unique flavours and styles, from light and mellow to darkly rich and ultra-aged. Featuring stunning Art Deco-inspired bottles, each rum is a work of art that deserves a spot on your bar cart, right next to your favourite cognacs and whiskies.
