BACKGROUNDER – New Union Station Store

The official opening of the new LCBO store in Union Station is July 7, 2022.

This brand-new store will provide convenient and one-stop beverage alcohol service to over 75,000 community members and 300,000 visitors who pass through Union Station every day, including commuters, office workers, tourists and event goers.
The 6,944 square-foot store has 4,840 square feet of display space. It carries a wide selection of over 1,000 wines, spirits, beers, ready-to-drink cocktails, and coolers.
The store has a prominent Ontario wine display showcasing Ontario products and VQA wines.
It also features 144 linear feet of refrigerated space, offering a selection of Ontario craft beers as well as other domestic and imported brands, ready-to-drink cocktails and coolers. There is also a chilled wine section.
The store offers Same-Day Pickup service: orders placed on lcbo.com will be ready for pickup at the store’s express counter within two hours (if in stock). This is a convenient option for a quick pickup during lunch hour or on the commute home.
There are five checkouts and the store is fully accessible.
There are nine full-time and part-time employees who are trained in product knowledge and responsible service.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm, Saturday 10am to 8pm, Sunday 11am to 6pm.
