STATEMENT ON LCBO EMPLOYEE TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 AND UPDATE TO RECENT STATEMENTS FOR STORE #166 IN ESSEX
January 11, 2021 – Toronto – The LCBO has been notified that a team member at store 702 in Waterloo (450 Columbia Street West) has tested positive for COVID-19. The last shift worked in-store was on Sunday, December 27, 2020. The employee is self-isolating at home, and we wish them well.
Further to LCBO’s recent media advisories on January 2, 2021, December 29, 2020, and December 24, 2020 regarding previously confirmed cases of COVID-19 amongst team members who work at Store 166 in Essex (39 Arthur Avenue), Public Health has declared an outbreak at this location in relation to these cases. Should we receive any additional Public Health direction or guidance; we will act immediately and accordingly.

The LCBO has several measures to keep employees and customers safe, including regular cleaning and sanitization and in-store measures that promote physical distancing.
