LCBO CUSTOMERS REQUIRED TO FOLLOW MUNICIPAL BY-LAWS ON THE USE OF FACE COVERINGS IN STORES

Tuesday, July 7, 2020 – Toronto – In accordance with municipal by-laws or orders requiring face coverings when accessing indoor public services, LCBO customers must wear a face covering when visiting stores in those regions.

The LCBO will not be making masks available for customer use. Customers wishing to enter an LCBO store in these regions without a face covering, or those who refuse to wear one will be denied entry, unless an exemption applies.

While the requirement to wear face coverings may vary by region, the LCBO encourages customers at all retail locations across the province to wear face coverings while shopping and continues to require that customers make alternate shopping arrangements if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. The LCBO also asks all customers to follow physical distancing guidance in-line and in-store, plan ahead and shop alone, limit interactions by paying with debit or credit and packing their own reusable bags, and to extend respect, patience, and kindness toward staff, security and fellow shoppers.

LCBO continues to offer additional shopping options, including ship-to-store and Same-Day Pickup, which is offered in over 110 stores with separate lines for pickup. For home delivery, customers must continue to follow pickup directions provided by Canada Post.

Unless related to health and safety, customers wishing to return items should continue to hold on to products and receipts as all eligible returns will be honoured at a future date.
