STATEMENT ON LCBO EMPLOYEE TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
Thursday, May 14, 2020 – Toronto
The LCBO was notified this afternoon (May 14, 2020) that an employee at LCBO Store #392 in St. Catharines (420 Vansickle Road) has tested positive for COVID-19. This employee last worked in-store on Thursday, May 7, 2020 and is currently resting at home. We wish them a full and speedy recovery.
As a precautionary measure, this location was deep cleaned on Saturday, May 9. Additional cleaning is being arranged and the store will reopen based on staff availability. Public Health has not provided any directions or recommendations with respect to this location. This general notice is being provided out of transparency for customers who may have recently shopped at this location.
The LCBO considers the health and well-being of its employees our top priority and we continue to work with OPSEU Liquor Board Employee Division to provide information and support to employees.
The LCBO has several measures to keep our employees and customers safe, including increased cleaning and sanitization, in-store measures that promote physical distancing and introducing new HR policies in support of employees.
