LCBO COVID-19 PROCESS AND PROTOCOLS

In response to “COVID-19: Union lauds London LCBO's three-day closing, cleanup after worker tests positive” as published in The London Free Press on Friday, April 17, 2020, the LCBO has been in collaboration with the Union on our health and safety plans and we are navigating this situation together. They have been receptive and supportive of the measures we have put in place.

Clarification on accepting in-store returns

March 19, 2020

The immediate pause in accepting in-store returns was made to help protect the well-being of our retail staff. This is a temporary measure while we assess the services we can continue to maintain with reduced operating hours and staff. Our licensee partners are facing challenges and we are here to help them navigate this uncertain time. While our pause on individual customer refunds is until further notice, we are working on a solution to process licensee returns within the next two weeks.

OPSEU COMMENTS REGARDING THE SALE OF LEGAL RECREATIONAL CANNABIS

August 30, 2019

In response to recent media and social media activity related to the sale of legal recreational cannabis, the LCBO wishes to issue the following clarification. Mr. Warren (Smokey) Thomas is the President of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, which represents the Liquor Board Employees Division. Any comments or statements made by Mr. Thomas should be attributed to OPSEU and not the LCBO.
