LCBO expands direct-to-consumer alcohol sales to eight provinces as part of new, interprovincial trade agreement

July 24, 2026 – TORONTO
– The Government of Ontario has announced an agreement with the governments of eight provinces to enable consumers in Ontario to purchase alcoholic beverages directly from producers in those jurisdictions for personal use.

This will help to create a more open marketplace for the benefit of Ontario suppliers and consumers, providing more choice and convenience across Canada.

Producers from Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Saskatchewan who are interested in participating may begin the authorization process. Once producers are authorized, we will share this information with Ontario consumers via lcbo.com.

Ontario producers who are interested in selling directly to consumers in those jurisdictions should reach out to the relevant authority.
