What is a
podcast?
A podcast is a series of audio/video files made
available for download on a recurring basis accompanied
by an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed that allows
software (such as iTunes) to monitor when a new episode
is released, automatically download it, and sync this
content to a portable player (such as an iPod).
Do I need to have an iPod to view these
podcast episodes?
No. While a video-capable portable device (such as a
Video iPod) allows for greater mobility, these podcast
episodes can be watched online (see above) or downloaded
and watched in podcatcher clients (such as iTunes).
How do I subscribe to the podcast?
If you have iTunes already installed, simply click on
the "Add to iTunes" button near the top of this page. If
you do not have iTunes, it can be downloaded free of
charge from the link near the top of this page.
If you are using a different podcatcher client, you
can copy one of the RSS feed URLs (listed above) into
the program. Please check your portable player's
documentation to see which video format it supports
before subscribing to either the MPEG-4 or WMV feeds.
Will I be charged if I subscribe to the podcast?
No. This video podcast series is free of charge.
