Shingleback D Block Reserve Shiraz 2013
Machine-harvested, destemmed, open and closed fermentation with cultured yeast, 9 days on skins, matured in used French (60%) and American (40%) oak for 15 months. Very full-bodied, immediately staking out its ground; one of those wines you either take as they are, or go elsewhere. It is obviously McLaren Vale, obviously shiraz, but there the discussion ends.
