Shingleback D Block Reserve Shiraz 2013

Shiraz/Syrah

—VINTAGES#: 407056
Shingleback D Block Reserve Shiraz 2013
Machine-harvested, destemmed, open and closed fermentation with cultured yeast, 9 days on skins, matured in used French (60%) and American (40%) oak for 15 months. Very full-bodied, immediately staking out its ground; one of those wines you either take as they are, or go elsewhere. It is obviously McLaren Vale, obviously shiraz, but there the discussion ends. One can easily see why it should have done so well in international wine shows. Drink By: 2033. Score - 93. (James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au, Aug. 11, 2016)
