Description
The words 'aus der steillage' on this wine's label translate as 'from the steep slope,' which, if you've ever seen the crazy-steep vineyards along the Mosel, is certainly appropriate. 'Feinherb,' meanwhile, is a term on German labels indicating that a wine is off-dry. This 2017 Riesling from Peter & Peter Zeller offers ripe pear and melon fruit with the characteristic mineral undertone for which Mosel Riesling is so renowned. The subtle sweetness will make this a good option for spicier dishes such as pad Thai.
