Klinker Brick Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Klinker bricks, denser and heavier than regular bricks, grace many of the historical buildings in Lodi including the home of Klinker Brick Winery's owners, Steve and Lori Felten. This 2014, the inaugural vintage of their varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, spent 16 months in French oak and shows cassis, tobacco, licorice and vanilla notes wrapped in smooth tannins. It'll make a good partner for spice-rubbed beef tenderloin and balsamic-brushed bell peppers hot off the barbecue. (Vintages panel, March 2018)
