Kilian Hunn Pinot Noir 2014
Baden is a rarity among German wine regions in that it focuses on red wines just about as much as white wines. The volcanic soils of Tuniberg, where this wine was grown, produce particularly intense versions of Pinot Noir. Ripe red berries, vanilla and smoky notes introduce a sleek, flavourful wine that'll pair nicely with chicken stroganoff, or schnitzel with mushroom gravy. (Vintages panel, March 2017)
